Pitt was surprised by Aniston's statement because he believed she had "moved on ... and wouldn't want to reopen this old wound."
According to another source Pitt called Aniston to complain about the Vogue piece.
Aniston's rep refused to comment on Pitt's call to Aniston saying, "That's personal information. ... That really is no one's business."
